Panagyurishte is an attractive destination mostly because of its rich cultural and historical heritage!

Panagyurishte has a preserved place in the history of Bulgaria! Quiet and beautiful city that hides many reasons to visit it.

During the Revival, the region marked significant economic and social growth, making the city the center of the legendary April Uprising of 1876, and was even declared the capital of Bulgaria for ten days. The famous "Bloody Letter" by Kableshkov was sent to Panagyurishte, and on April 22 the flag of Raina Knyaginya was solemnly lit in the town.

In Panagyurishte you could visit:

- The house-museum of Raina Knyaginya, where you can touch the feats and greatness of the Bulgarian teacher and revolutionary, who sewed the insurgent flag of the April Uprising. The relics of the famous Bulgarian woman are laid in the yard of the house. The museum is part of the Hundred National Tourist Sites of the Bulgarian Tourist Union.
- Exposition "Panagyurishte Golden Treasure" - Every year the original of the unique Panagyurishte Golden Treasure visits the most modern Bulgarian vault hall. In his absence, an exact golden copy of the perfect creation of the Thracian masters is exhibited.
- The Historical Museum in Panagyurishte is one of the most famous cultural and historical landmarks of the city. Its permanent exhibition is dedicated to the April Uprising, and it houses original relics of the April Epic. In the yard of the museum there is a separate Revival craft street, where you can see the main crafts of the population, related to the preparation of the uprising, which glorified Panagyurishte during the Revival era.
- The National Monumental Complex "Apriltsi", built on the hill "Manyovo Bardo" in honor of the 100th anniversary of the April Uprising. The large-scale composition reflects the heroism and glory of the feat and gives solemnity to the surrounding nature.
- Among the interesting sights of the city are its old churches. The oldest church in the city is "St. Todor Tyron", built more than 400 years ago. Next to it in 1823 was consecrated another church - "Holy Introduction of the Mother of God". In the period 1856 - 1860 the cathedral church "St. George" was built.
- The historic site Oborishte, located 8 km. west of the city, served as a refuge for a number of brave Bulgarians during the April Uprising. As an object of one of the most glorious moments in Bulgarian history - on Oborishte between April 14 and 16, 1876. The First Grand Bulgarian National Assembly is sitting. The place attracts with its natural beauty and uniqueness.
- A significant number of Revival houses: Dudekova, Dzhunova, Hadjidimitrova, Tuteva, Lekova, with rich ethnographic exhibitions, which show the way of life and traditions of the local population.
- Natural science collection showing the biodiversity and geological richness of Srednogorie.
